Where to get the Best Vegan Breakfast in Phoenix

Updated: Aug 24, 2021

When I first became vegan I dreaded going out to breakfast with friends. I was the annoying girl that ordered the veggie omelette with no eggs, add all the veggies and some hash browns for good measure. Phoenix is a little different than Michigan State Campus though and the vegan eats here are a whole other story. There are some pretty kick ass spots to grab a delicious vegan breakfast that I am sure most carnivores would love as well. These are in no particular order because choosing a few was already hard enough!

1). Everythang Vegan Their Breakfast Bowl is loaded up with tofu scramble that somehow tastes like scrambled eggs but better, roasted potatoes, spinach, coconut cheeze, marinated mushrooms and micro greens. I have had a lot of breakfast bowls but this one seriously takes the cake and is bursting with flavor. Not only is this bowl so dang good but their ingredients are locally sourced which is always a bonus for other businesses too. You can get this bowl every Saturday from 7-11 at the Downtown Phoenix Farmer's Market.

2). The Coronado Honestly, this whole menu is delicious so it is hard to choose a few. You really can't go wrong with anything you order from this plant-based spot. If you are hangry and in need of a giant burrito this is your spot. The California Burrito is stuffed full of refried black beans, mushroom asada, french fries, guac, and cilantro lime dressing. The mushroom asada takes this burrito to the next level. If you're not quite in the mood for a burrito the size of your face, not sure who would pass this up but, then the Coconut Chia Pudding is what you need. This dreamy breakfast is creamy, sweet and topped with fresh berries and house-made granola. Again, you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu and The Coronado is now in their new location at 2245 N. 12th St.

Phoenix, AZ 85006. Also don't try and go on a Monday because they're closed, I've been there!

3). Gooder Goods is located inside the Madison on the corner of Indian School and 38th St in Phoenix. Gooder Goods has a grab-and-go case if you're running late, like I usually am, and only have time for a quick bite. If you have time to chill and order something off of the menu it is definitely worth it. The Fo'Rizzo Burrito is my favorite just be sure to substitute the egg for the tofu scramble if you're vegan. The Fo'Rizzo is not only fun to say, but it is just as fun to eat. Housemade soyrizo, sweet potato, black beans, tofu scramble, and avocado all come together in this delicious breakfast. I love getting it as a bowl instead of a burrito too. Another tip, get extra hot sauce on the side, it is too dang good. I usually go for savory breakfasts, but I was blown away by the Fluffle. Gluten free waffles made with maca, flax seed, fresh berries, walnuts and maple syrup. They're packed with nutrients and oh so delicious. Another place you really can't go wrong with anything you order and be sure to grab one of their lattes! The lavender is my fav.

There are a ton of great vegan breakfast places in Phoenix. These are the few that made my list, but there are always new places to discover. Check out these spots and comment your favorite vegan breakfast in the Valley!
